A Hair Transplant is not a miracle cure for hair loss, it has limitations and cannot replace hair for hair you once had. Not all people may be suitable for a hair transplant and not necessarily for medical reasons. Before deciding to have a hair transplant it is important to research and understand what can be achieved, now and in the future and then understand whether this will meet your demands and goals.
A Hair Transplant works on the basis that hair remains around the sides and back of the scalp (donor area) and some of this can be moved to the top (recipient area). This hair is genetically programmed to continue to grow throughout our life, although in some occasions it may become thinner.
FUE also known as “Follicular Unit Extraction” is the movement of genetic groups of hair known as follicular units (FU), usually 1 to 4 hairs per unit. A micro surgical punch surrounds the FU and with a high level of skill and precise measurement of skin and hair angles the FU is removed. Extraction is relatively slow with between 1500 and 2000 extractions and placed FU in one day, and a maximum of 3000 FU in one procedure over two days.
There is a need for strict protocols to ensure the highest standards of yield and donor management, this means we refuse many cases in the pursuit of excellence. With a worldwide reputation and close to ten years of performing FUE to the highest standard we have consistently proven and achieved the high growth rates, natural hair lines and donor areas showing no obvious signs a surgical procedure has been performed.
Key elements to the success of FUE rely in the protocols set out, and in turn will provide you with the utmost excellence in Hair Transplant technology. For more information please click on the headings below.

*Importance of Shaving the Donor Safe Zone
*Punch Size & Manual Extraction Technique
*Hair Characteristics & Miniaturisation
FUT/Strip Hair Transplant Technique has evolved over the last 5 years, now large procedures over 4000 FU are more common, but still require the Medical Team to be highly skilled at their work, with our Technical Team we have performed many 4000 plus cases with the largest being 6000 FU in one day.
A great benefit to FUT is for men with high levels of hair loss and can cover a substantial area in one procedure, even average density donors can achieve 4000 FU under the right conditions allowing a NW4 candidate to almost achieve total restoration in a day.
FUT involves the removal of a hair-bearing strip from the back and side of the donor areas. This is sutured to leave a thin line that the surrounding hair grows through and over to cover. The advent of the triple faceted closure (Tricophytic Closure) now allows less tension even immediately and long term minimum of strip invasiveness and cosmetic change to the scalp.
FUT is a proven and successful method of extraction but the patient does carry some responsibility with donor care. Superficial healing is relatively quick and generally hidden under the existing surrounding hair. An important factor is stretch back and over the first two months minimum pressure or stretching must be applied to the scalp; this generally involves less activity or heavy work out sessions at the gym.
Month One: Grafted hair falls out and goes into a resting phase
Month Three: Regrowth of grafted hair starts 20-30% growth being common.
Month Six: Overall improvement in the quality and amount of hair growing with 40-60% regrowth
Month Nine to Twelve/Fifteen: 80 to Full Regrowth is expected and continued improvement to the hair quality.
These are approximations, every one is individual and can follow a different trend, faster or slower.
Repair cases these figures can vary due to the complicated nature of the procedure and previous damaged to your recipient and or donor areas.
GUARANTEE POLICY
We are happy and confident to stand by the quality of our work. We ask you to keep an open dialogue with the Clinic and follow our Post Operation Protocols to achieve the best possible result and growth as well as donor healing. By 12/15 months post operation if you feel the regrowth is below expectations we are happy to arrange a post op consultation to measure the growth. If it is found to be less than 90% of placed FU on virgin scalp cases and less than 85% on repair cases we pledge to refund or replace the difference. The % figures mentioned are a guide and can vary dependent case on case, please ask for more details & Terms specific to your case and the doctors assessment pre operation and figures may rise or fall.
